Air Astana CEO’s message to passengers
We appreciate that it is very difficult for people to re-arrange or cancel travel plans at this time.
Just to put this into perspective we would normally expect to carry 500 000 passengers in a month of March alone. Now that approximate 80% of flights have had to be cancelled until 15th of April at the earliest.
We are having hundreds of thousands of customer requests. Our call centers and ticketing offices are working flat out to process this but as you can imagine the volumes are unprecedented. This is the same for all airlines worldwide.
We appreciate that this is a frustrating time but we ask all customers to please exercise patience and understanding. We guarantee that all requests for rebooking and refunds will be handled.
However the lead time for processing will be inevitably and unavoidably longer than usual.
In 18 years Air Astana has never failed to meet its obligations to customers. That commitment is absolute and will not change.
