Air Astana will launch services between Almaty and Batumi, Georgia’s second largest city, on 15th May 2021. Flights will be operated three times a week using Airbus A320 aircraft on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays, with a flight time of 4 hours 30 mins from Almaty to Batumi and 4 hours 5 mins on the return sector.

Batumi is located on the Black Sea coast and will be Air Astana’s second destination in Georgia, with services to the capital, Tbilisi having been operated since 2011.

Return fares start at US$304 in economy and US$664 in business class, with tickets available at www.airastana.com, Air Astana ticketing & reservations offices, call-center and accredited travel agencies.

Passenger travelling to Georgia must present a negative PCR test result certificate, which is considered valid for up to 72 hours prior to scheduled flight arrival time. Vaccinated travellers do not have to present a PCR test certificate, provided they have a proof of a full course (two doses) of any COVID-19 vaccine. Passengers arriving in Kazakhstan from the foreign countries need to present a negative PCR test certificate issued within 72 hours of arrival.
