Air Astana introduces mobile check-in service for international flights departing from Almaty

Mobile check-in is now available to Air Astana passengers departing from Almaty to international destinations. Passengers with mobile boarding passes can use a special FAST TRACK check-in desk before passing through border control. The new service has been launched in co-operation with Almaty International Airport and the Border Service of Kazakhstan National Security Committee. The process is fully supported by the Сivil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan and IATA. Air Astana plans to introduce the service in other airports of Kazakhstan during the first half of 2017.

Air Astana became the first airline in Kazakhstan to offer Mobile Check-in to passengers when it introduced the service for domestic flights in July 2016. The introduction of mobile registration allows the airline to shorten check-in time and increase cost-effectiveness.

To use the service, passengers first need to download the Air Astana mobile application available for iOS and Android and then simply have their devices scanned before proceeding to the gate. The Mobile Boarding Pass has a QR code containing flight details, together with passenger information. The Mobile Check-in desk opens 24 hours prior to departure and closes an hour before departure.
