This service to Air Astana passengers is being provided following the resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Officer of Kazakhstan on 6th October 2020, which requires passengers arriving in Kazakhstan from foreign countries to have a negative PCR test certificate. Without this certificate, foreign citizens will not be allowed to board the aircraft at the point of departure and Kazakh citizens will be required to undertake a two-day quarantine on arrival in Kazakhstan. PCR tests are mandatory for passengers of all ages.

The Air Astana list can be used for reference, but is not exhaustive, with test certificates received from other certified overseas laboratories also acceptable to the Kazakh authorities. A PCR test is not required by international transit passengers connecting in Kazakhstan, provided they do not leave the airport transit zone.
