Air Astana receives Skytrax Best Airline in Central Asia Award 2021
Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan, has been recognised as the “Best Airline in Central Asia” in the Skytrax World Airline Awards for 2021.
Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan, has been recognised as the “Best Airline in Central Asia” in the Skytrax World Airline Awards for 2021. This is the ninth time that Air Astana has received the award with eight consecutive successes 2012-2019. Skytrax did not go ahead with the awards programme in 2020 due to the global health crisis.
“In spite of the challenges of the pandemic, top quality service delivery has continued to be a priority. I would like to thank our customers for their loyalty, and also my colleagues, who have shown great dedication in challenging circumstances, and who, I am pleased to say, have almost all returned to full-time work,” said Peter Foster, CEO and President, Air Astana.

The Skytrax World Airline Awards are globally recognised as a valued benchmarking tool that is independent and impartial. The latest survey measured passenger satisfaction amongst business and leisure travellers across all cabins and included more than 13 million entries submitted between September 2019 and July 2021.The survey measured passenger satisfaction across a wide range of performance indicators of airline front-line products and services, including check-in, boarding, on-board comfort, cabin cleanliness, food, beverages, in-flight entertainment and staff service.
