Enhanced security measures at the FIFA World Cup 2018

In accordance with Decree № 202 authorised by the President of the Russian Federation, significantly enhanced security measures will be in place during the period of May 25 to July 25, 2018, coinciding with the FIFA World Cup.

In accordance with Decree № 202 authorised by the President of the Russian Federation, significantly enhanced security measures will be in place during the period of May 25 to July 25, 2018, coinciding with the FIFA World Cup. These restrictions will apply in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation (including Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, St. Petersburg) prohibiting incoming civil and service weapons, ammunition, explosive and poisonous substances, industrial materials, as well as any associated products.

In exceptional cases, the importation of weapons, cartridges, substances, materials and products mentioned above may be allowed, but solely on the discretion of the Interdepartmental Operational Headquarters. Passengers should contact the Special Service Department by e-mail to special.services@airastana.com at least seven working days prior to departure to seek permission for transportation.

Citizens of the Russian Federation who have applied for temporary or permanent residence must register no more than three days from their date of arrival to the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. Registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving for temporary or permanent residence and holding appropriate legal documents required by the Russian Federation, will be carried out within one day from the date of their arrival.
