Information about Air Astana repatriation flights
Air Astana is doing everything possible to ensure the safe return of Kazakhstan citizens to their homeland.
Due to entry and exit restrictions imposed by a number of countries to limit the spread COVID-19, Air Astana has repatriated over 37,500 Kazakhstan citizens from abroad between 1st-23rd March 2020. By the end of the month, this figure is expected to have increased to 40,000.
As a result of the lockdown of both Almaty and Nur-Sultan, as well as the overall state of national emergency, 95% of Air Astana flights have been cancelled between 22nd March and 14th April, with only 140 flights operated instead of almost 2,900. This dramatically reduced total takes account of domestic flights suspended from 22nd March and all international repatriation flights to be completed by 29th March. The regularly updated schedule of available repatriation flights can be found at www.airastana.com
Please note that due to the state of national emergency between 22nd March and 14th April inclusively, Air Astana is unable to carry domestic transit passengers to their final destinations across the country.
